Born in 1988 to Saudi parents, he has lived in Riyadh and the Eastern Coast of the United States. Salman left Riyadh as a seeming female in 2006, attained an undergraduate degree in creative writing from MIT by 2011, and returned to Riyadh a bearded male. He has straddled the gender partition in Saudi Arabia, and has had access to both worlds at different stages in his life.
Salman worked in management consulting across the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council from 2012 to 2015, primarily within the male dominated public sector. He is currently enrolled at the University of Chicago, working towards an MBA, and a hopes of a sustainable food empire.
