Partner, White & Case
Jacquelyn MacLennan is a Partner of the global law firm White & Case, based in its Brussels office. In addition to being the Global Head of the firm’s Pro Bono practice, Jacquelyn focuses on EU competition law, and also advises on EU customs/trade law, and EU regulatory requirements, notably environmental law. Her clients include some of the world’s leading multinational corporations and banks, and also governmental organisations. Jacquelyn won “Best in Competition & Antitrust, Euromoney Women in Business Awards – Europe, 2016” and is mentioned as Leading Lawyer for Competition and European Law, EU Regulatory law, International Trade and WTO Europe-wide by Chambers Europe 2016. She was also highly recommended as an EU and global Competition lawyer by Legal 500 EMEA 2016. Jacquelyn is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh’s Europa Institute and received an award for “Best Business Anticompetitive Practices Article” at the 2012 Antitrust Writing Awards.
She has accumulated substantial management experience in the course of her career: she is currently a member of White & Case’s primary governance body (its Partnership Committee); she was until September 2015 part of the Executive Committee, responsible for implementing the firm’s strategy and management, and was for a number of years the Executive Partner responsible for running the Brussels office of White & Case.
Jacquelyn is a keen promoter of inclusive leadership, and has actively supported White & Case’s Global Women’s Initiative since its inception, which includes mentoring women lawyers and supporting their careers in many different ways. She initiated a Brussels office annual women’s networking event which has grown since 2007 to attract a large number of clients and other professionals.
