Out Right Action International
As an orphan, Florin grew up in the infamous orphanages of Romania until the age of eight. He would then experience the physical and mental trauma of abandonment a second time when coming out as gay to his parents. Despite this, Florin has also experienced the power of his personal story as a tool to build awareness and change. Today, he is a board member of YPCs at non-profits including The Trevor Project, GLAAD, Ali Forney Center, The American Ballet Theatre, and is currently developing a documentary about his experiences as an orphan, while sharing the stories of those that weren't as lucky. The film will act as a call to action, including how local NGOs are working to solve this epidemic, and highlighting anti-trafficking organisations such as Reaching Out Romania, and The International Red Cross.
