Founder and Executive Director of FAIR Girls
Andrea Powell is founder and Executive Director of FAIR Girls headquartered in Washington, D.C.. Andrea leads FAIR Girls’ efforts to provide empowering direct services and housing to young women survivors of human trafficking. Andrea acts as an adjunct professor at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University teaching courses in combating sex trafficking. She is the co-author of FAIR Girls’ prevention education curriculum and trains law enforcement and front line responders on how to identify victims of human trafficking. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Huffington Post, and the Washington Post.
