Executive Director, Women Information Network
Miriam Menkiti is the Executive Director of the Women’s Information Network (WINET) in Nigeria and a seasoned journalist.
An astute researcher, she conducted a baseline study on child and forced marriages which culminated in a project on “Ending Community Acceptance of Child and Forced Marriages” in Ebenebe, Anambra State Nigeria. She published “A Handbook on Democracy and Fundamental Human Rights for Youths” and “Community Dialogue Guide for Girls and Women’s Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights” whilst also contributing to UNESCO’s series Policy Paper No.14.2 (E). on “Human Trafficking in Nigeria: Root Causes and Recommendations”.
