Iman is the founder of MIDAL, an NGO that aims at promoting prominent Lebanese women by increasing their leadership potential and encouraging them to play leading roles in political and public life. She is a Director for International Exchange Projects, has more than 16 years’ experience as a social worker, and is an expert in youth and women's issues. She also a trainer in capacity building, leadership, building coalitions, entrepreneurship and business development skills.
Iman works with women, youth and children and continues to work towards women’s economic empowerment, human rural development, women's rights, women leaders for the next generation and youth leaders. She has worked with over 5,000 women from marginalized regions in Lebanon and has received recognition from European municipalities and international NGOs for her pioneering work in Lebanon and in European Mediterranean countries. Iman is known for human rights advocacy, especially the empowerment of women and youth, and has managed within MIDAL on many projects, including ‘Women in development’, ‘Women in Municipalities’, and ‘Women’s Economic Empowerment’, while creating a network of almost 1,000 women mentors.
