Anne Girardin is a land surveyor and a geographical database specialist. In 2007, she participated in Afghanistan’s reconstruction, starting her engagement with international development and secure tenure rights for the most vulnerable people worldwide. In 2010, she started working in Africa to help women register their land and began a network of female surveyors to support women landowners. In 2017, she joined the Cadasta Foundation, believing her approach can make a significant difference to build sustainable communities with land and women as a base for development. Since joining, Anne has supported Cadasta’s advancement of land and property rights for over 600,000 people.
