Samah Mansur has worked for women’s rights for more than ten years. She has earned a Master's degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University. Her major focus is fighting women's trafficking and child marriage. She was awarded a prize by the United Nations Development Fund for Women for the best research into fighting violence against women in 2007.She is a member of ( Say No to Child Trafficking Initiative) is a pressure group that works on monitoring and documenting Child trafficking and girls' marriage in Egypt.
She helped begin the Shoft Taharosh (“I saw harassment”) initiative to raise awareness and combat sexual assault in Egypt.
