Unit Chief, Violent Crimes Against Children Intelligence Unit, Federal Bureau of Investigation
Mr. Kevin Gutfleish is Chief of the Violent Crimes Against Children Intelligence Unit (VCACIU) within the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Violent Crimes Against Children (VCAC) Section, Criminal Investigative Division. The VCAC is an international intelligence-driven, proactive, multi-agency investigative operation that provides a rapid and comprehensive capability to combat the proliferation of child sexual exploitation within the FBI’s jurisdiction. The mission of the VCACIU is to manage the global VCAC intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination; identify VCAC threats, trends, and vulnerabilities; write national in scope intelligence products; identify national intelligence gaps and collection requirements; and provide actionable intelligence to law enforcement, policy makers, non-governmental organizations, private industry, and the public to aid in the identification, rescue, and prevention of child victims. The FBI’s VCAC threats include child abductions, online child sexual exploitation, and child sex trafficking.
