Urvashi Aneja

Co-Founder and Director, Tandem Research

Urvashi Aneja is Co-Founder and Director of Tandem Research, an independent research collective from India, that generates policy insights at the interface of technology, society, and sustainability. She leads Tandem's Future of Work and AI & Society programs, building on 10+ years of research, teaching, and policy experience. She has written widely on the gig economy, gender and digitalisation, algorithmic governance, and Big Tech, and has been quoted in national and international media publications. Urvashi is also Associate Fellow at Chatham House, a contributor to the Civil Society, Tech and Social Justice initiative at the World Economic Forum, and a member of the T-20 working group on the Future of Work and Learning. She has also served on Indian government committees for artificial intelligence and frontier technologies.  Urvashi has a Doctorate from the Department of Political Science, University of Oxford, and was formerly Associate Professor in International Affairs at the OP Jindal Global University, India.
