Co-founder, Break the Silence Project
Alejandra is a social worker specialized in gender studies and social entrepreneurship. At the age of 18, she founded the “Break the silence” project, with the purpose of raising awareness against human trafficking in high schools and universities. She is specially focused in designing campaigns to prevent young boys of consuming prostitution without knowing what´s behind it. She also founded the UN women initiative, HeForShe in her university campus, where she started training volunteers to give workshops at schools to educate kids on gender equity. Alejandra is involved with international platforms like TEDx, where she spoke in 2014 and the A21 campaign, where she leads annual events to raise awareness against human trafficking in her city.
