Human Rights Lawyer, University of Tartu
For around five years I have been involved in Human Rights in Eastern Europe. I worked as a human rights lawyer in Belarus, providing legal advising and consultations whose rights were violated. This experience gave me the unique opportunity to understand the most crucial Human Rights problems in this region, including key women’s rights issues in Eastern Europe. Last year, I ran a female leadership program in Estonia, for women from conflict regions. I got the fantastic opportunity to meet with around 50 women from regions from Caucasus, who have experienced or experiencing conflicts in their home cities. This experience motivates me to continue this work and I am looking for the opportunities to start a new initiative directed at women from conflict regions in Eastern Europe and the Caucasian states.
