Mark Toldo is a freelance journalist, writer and communications professional based in the Philippines. He was a journalism fellow of Climate Tracker in 2020 and British Council & Pioneers Post in 2016. Mark’s work in print, broadcast and online media chronicles the struggles and triumphs of people afflicted with social problems in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Most of his stories focus on micro, small and medium enterprises, disasters, public health, agriculture, environment, children’s rights and welfare, education, labour & migration, and extrajudicial killings, among others. Mark also leads the communications of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative’s (HHI) Program on Resilient Communities.
