Rachel Barré

Environmental Leadership Director, L’Oréal

Rachel Barré began her career at L’Oréal’s Research & Innnovation department, working on the Group’s approach to sustainable innovation. She notably developed and led the Group sustainable sourcing strategy related to biodiversity-based ingredients . After eight years in the R&I department, she joined the Corporate Responsibility team to lead several program related to the implementation of nature-based solutions in the fight against climate change, including L’Oréal’s Zero deforestation policy or Carbon-Balanced program.

She is now the Environmental Leadership Director for the Group  orchestrating the activation and implementation of new sustainable development program, L’Oréal for the Future. She also leads the Fondation L’Oréal’s Women & Climate program.

Rachel has a degree in agronomy with a postgraduate specialization in CSR management in business.
